Living with the Living is the fifth album by the Washington, D. rock band Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, released in 2007 by Touch and Go Records. It was the band's first album for the Touch and Go label and debuted on the U. Billboard 200 at number 109, selling about 8,000 copies in its first week. Music videos were filmed for the singles Bomb. and Colleen. Альбом 2007 Песен: 16. Now on his fifth album, Living With the Living, the thirtysomething rocker still prefers the same music he's probably loved since his teens: the smarty-pants punk and new wave of turn-of-the-1970s UK labels like Stiff the amped-up rhythm'n'soul of 60s mod and ska the rangy heavy rock of Thin Lizzy the hard-strumming. folksiness of 80s indie and the idealism impressed on him by American hardcore. The Pharmacists' oeuvre is all of a two-toned piece, but each record stands on its own, just different enough from its predecessor. Call me a booster rather than a critic, but I love Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and seriously want this band be, like, fucking huge. Living with the Living. Living with the Living marks full-length number five for Leo and his crew of Pharmacists, and it's another literate and stirring collection of songs built around his sweetly elastic voice and tightly wound guitars. On personal and human levels, he hits it all - anger, happiness, frustration, love, uncertainty, hope, sadness, rebellion - in songs that burst with passion and a true zest for being alive cuts like the bright immediacy of The Sons of Cain and the tender Irish-flavored frolic of A Bottle of Buckie find Leo in top form and easily put. a smile on one&ap. Indie pop-punk kingpin Ted Leo's sixth album with his band the Pharmacists is as taut, smart, and toe-tapping as anything the Thinking Man's Punk has done. Songs like show the group has no plans to either slow down or water down their politically charged messages. The guy can write an anthem with the same acuity and attention to pop hookage as Alex Chilton or the Bevis Frond. Living With the Living. The Ted Leo method could hardly fail. He and the Pharmacists combine energetic guitar lines, punk attitude, and political passion with a voice that's prettier than you'd expect and stronger than prettier implies. On his newest release, Living With the Living, he expands his styles a little bit without straying much from his bases.
